Undertaker Comments About His WrestleMania 29 Appearance
- Updated: August 3, 2012
ProWrestling.net is reporting:
WWE star Undertaker appeared at the Florida Championship Wrestling event in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday. Dot Net reader Tim Howe attended the event and passed along the follow notes regarding his brief conversation with Undertaker.
Tim: “You make me proud to be a fan, every year that you keep going to WrestleMania…I’ll keep going to WrestleMania.”
Taker: “Yeah, well don’t make any plans for April…”
Tim: “What? No! Please, you have to be there!”
Taker: “(laughs) We’ll see what happens.”
To me, you have to take this with a grain of salt, as the Undertaker could simply just be messing with his fans. Ultimately, as long as he can still go, the WWE will do their best to make sure he is at WrestleMania. Not to mention, if he is indeed done, he would probably wrestle a farewell match at ‘Mania and be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the same year .
I personally feel that “The Dead Man” will hang up his boots after WrestleMania 30 or 33 at the latest. The reasoning behind those choices are WM 30 would be a milestone anniversary for the WWE. Which would allow for a great send-off for ‘Taker. Meanwhile, WM 33 would make him 25-0, and to me you can’t get much better than having a quarter century worth of victories at one event.
In the end, we won’t know until he is lets us know that he is done. Not to mention, the WWE backstage and its fans have nothing but respect for Undertaker. Which ultimately gives him a pass to only work once a year for ‘The Grandaddy of Them All.”
