Brock Lesnar Quits WWE , Sends Paul Heyman to Deliver Message on Raw
- Updated: May 8, 2012
Brock Lesnar did not appear on Raw on Monday night but he made sure he was well represented. He sent Paul Heyman to the ring to deliver a message on his behalf.
Heyman told fans that Lesnar’s demands were agreed to on live television making each fan a party to his agreement with John Laurinaitis.
Heyman went on to tell the crowd that, “Lesnar feels betrayed by the WWE universe…I know and you should know that Brock Lesnar is an honest man.”
He then went on to read Lesnar’s “official statement”.
In the statement, Lesnar said, ”I came back to bring legitimacy to WWE that’s exactly what I did.” He then spoke about Triple H. “He couldn’t last one minute in a fight with me. I had an agreement with the company and he broke it, so I broke his arm.”
The controversial part of the statement was the very end when Heyman read aloud, ”I, Brock Lesnar, am never coming back because I, Brock Lesnar, quit.”
This is an interesting angle on things. After last week, it was said that Lesnar was going to be fired but no one took it seriously. This claim by Heyman gives a bit more strength to this angle but it still is a bit hard to believe.
After all, Lesnar has a $5 million contract that expires after WrestleMania XXIX.
This all seems like a ploy to give Lesnar some time off in hopes of saving up his appearances.
By the time SummerSlam rolls around, it would not be surprising if Triple H has recovered and is ready to take on Lesnar in the main event of the summer.
