Impact Wrestling announced on Twitter that Taya Valkyrie will not be competing at tonight’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view or at this week’s television tapings.

While Impact has made some news recently about releases that were possibly cost-cutting moves, this is not that nor her bailing on the company. Valkyrie clarified that herself on Twitter, saying she pulled out of the show due to “personal reasons.”

Valkyrie was scheduled to face Rosemary in a Red Wedding Match (or First Blood Match), and from her perspective, she still plans on having the match with Rosemary in January.

According to, the reason Valkyrie is missing the show is that she would have trouble getting back into the United States after the tapings. Valkyrie was born in Canada, but her permanent residency in the U.S. has yet to be completed. There was concern that her return back to the United States could be complicated, so the company made the decision to yank her from the shows instead of taking a chance. There is no heat on Taya and the company intends to use her on the January tapings.
