The November 28th episode of WWE SmackDown aired live from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Here are 3 winners and losers from this week’s episode of SmackDown:
The Riott Squad (Winners)
Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan faced Charlotte, Natalya and Naomi tonight. Natalya wound up abandoning her teammates and that made it a 3-on-2 match. Morgan and Logan took out Naomi ringside and smashed her into the steel steps.
The Riott Squad then dismantled Charlotte in the ring. Charlotte fought back for a moment, but she couldn’t overcome all three Superstars. Riot pinned Charlotte and the Riot Squad picked up their first victory on SmackDown over the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The name “Riott Squad” is pretty awful, but the trio have the chance to become a dominant force in the SmackDown women’s division.
So much for teamwork! @NatByNature has ABANDONED her team leaving @MsCharlotteWWE and @NaomiWWE to fend for themselves against the #RiottSquad! #SDLive @YaOnlyLivvOnce @sarahloganwwe @RubyRiotWWE pic.twitter.com/e4sbPUazzN

Zack Ryder (Loser)
The Hype Bros faced the Bludgeon Brothers on this week’s episode of SmackDown. They faced them last week and got their asses kicked and the same thing happened tonight. Harper and Rowan destroyed the Hype Bros and pinned Zack Ryder for the victory.
After the match, Ryder was interviewed and stated that the landscape has changed in WWE. Ryder said that the Hype Bros need to change as well. Mojo Rawley then attacked Ryder from behind and screamed that the Hype Bros are dead. It will be interesting to see where Mojo Rawley’s character goes from here. We’ve already seen Ryder on his own and it seems pretty clear that WWE views him as a mid card talent at best.
New Day (Winners)
New Day faced Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin tonight on SmackDown. Gable and Benjamin have been feuding with The Usos recently and seemed to be at the front of the line for a shot at the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. That may not be the case after tonight, as the New Day defeated Gable and Benjamin in a pretty short match.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos were on commentary for this match. After New Day’s victory, they hinted at New Day getting yet another shot at the tag titles in the near future. SmackDown desperately needs to start building up teams so that there is actually competition within the tag division. However, it seems like we are heading for another match between New Day and The Usos.

Shane McMahon (Loser)
SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon seemed to get back on the same page with SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan tonight. Shane clearly would still like to fire Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but understood why Daniel Bryan did not. Shane joked that he wouldn’t care if Owens and Zayn wound up on RAW because they would then be Stephanie McMahon’s problem.
Shane liked how Bryan put Owens in a match against Randy Orton tonight, but wanted to make the match more interesting. Shane announced that Sami Zayn was barred from ringside and that the match is No DQ. Owens and Zayn found a way around those stipulations and pulled out another win. Shane is doing a very bad job at getting even with Owens and Zayn.
AJ Styles (Winner)
AJ Styles faced the Singh Brothers tonight on SmackDown in a Handicap match. Jinder Mahal attacked Styles from behind before the match started and the Singh Brothers joined in on the beatdown. Mahal remained ringside for the match and watched his opponent at Clash of Champions overcome all the odds.
Styles connected with a super Styles Clash off the second rope to defeat the Singh Brothers. Mahal tried to attack Styles after the match but AJ escaped. Mahal then took out of his frustration on the Singh Brothers and delivered a Khallas to both of them. AJ will defend his WWE Championship against Jinder Mahal at WWE Clash of Champions next month.
Styles seems to have all the momentum in the world right now and Mahal just beatdown his lackeys. Mahal may need to find a new entourage now because the odds of him beating AJ Styles without any outside help are pretty slim.
Randy Orton (Loser)
Randy Orton was sent home last week on SmackDown by Daniel Bryan because Orton claimed that he would not be held responsible for what he would have done to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Tonight on SmackDown, Orton got the chance to get some revenge on Owens for attacking Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.
The match was a NO DQ match and Sami Zayn was barred from ringside. Orton controlled the first few minutes of the match and beat the hell out of Owens with a kendo stick. Owens ran away through the crowd but Orton caught him by the entrance ramp. Sami Zayn then attacked Orton from behind with a chair. Technically, Zayn was not ringside but was on the entrance ramp so he was able to get involved in the match.
Owens then brought Orton back to the ring and got a DDT from Orton for his troubles. Orton then went for an RKO but Owens blocked it and hit a Superkick. Owens then climbed to the top rope and connected with a Frog Splash for the pinfall victory. Owens and Zayn once again outsmarted Shane McMahon and it wound up leading to a tough loss for Randy Orton.
