The November 21st episode of WWE SmackDown took place in Houston, TX. It was the first episode of SmackDown following WWE Survivor Series. Here are 3 winners and losers from this week’s episode of SmackDown:

Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan (Winners)

Much like on RAW last night, a new stable made their debut tonight and caused chaos. Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan made their main roster debuts tonight and made an immediate impact. Their first victim was Naomi. She was backstage minding her own business when the trio showed up and attacked her.

Becky Lynch tried to help out Naomi but was beaten down for her troubles. Charlotte and Natalya were in the middle of a match when Riot, Morgan and Logan showed up. They beat up Natalya outside the ring and then focused their attention on the SmackDown Women’s Champion. The trio beat the hell out of Charlotte and then posed over her in the ring.

The Usos (Losers)

Jey Uso took on Shelton Benjamin tonight. Both Jimmy Uso and Chad Gable were ringside for this match. Jey dominated the majority of the match, but Chad Gable get distracting him. Jimmy Uso launched Chad Gable into the barricade but that wasn’t enough to keep Gable down.

Jey was about to climb to the top rope when Gable ran at him by the ring apron. Jey booted Gable down and then attempted a Splash from the top rope. Benjamin got out of the way and then planted Jey with the Paydirt for the pinfall victory. Gable and Benjamin are now in line for another shot at the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

The Bludgeon Brothers (Winners)

The Bludgeon Brothers made their SmackDown debuts tonight against the Hype Bros. Luke Harper took out Zack Ryder right when the match started and slammed him against the steel steps. Harper and Rowan then dismantled Mojo Rawley and planted him with a Crucifix Bomb for the pinfall victory.

I thought the vignettes aired for the Bludgeon Brothers were laughable and I honestly was not looking forward to their SmackDown debut at all. I was completely wrong about this team and I actually enjoyed their gimmick. Their theme music is absolutely perfect. I am openly rooting for Luke Harper because I think he is one of the most underrated Superstars on the WWE roster. I hope this team works out for both Harper and Rowan. Both RAW and SmackDown could use some more entertaining tag teams.

Jinder Mahal (Loser)

AJ Styles called out Jinder Mahal tonight on SmackDown. Jinder appeared on the jumbotron and informed him when he will be invoking his rematch clause for the WWE Championship. The match was originally supposed to take place tonight, but WWE changed their plans. Mahal announced that he will face AJ Styles at Clash of Champions for the WWE Championship.

The Singh Brothers then attempted to attack AJ Styles from behind but AJ easily fought them off. AJ planted one of the Singh Brothers with the Styles Clash and then stared at Mahal on the jumbotron. It was then announced that Styles will face the Singh Brothers next week in a Handicap match.

Mahal’s plan backfired tonight. He hoped his distraction would work and that the Singh Brothers would be able to beat up Styles leading into their title match next month. Things didn’t work out too well tonight for Mahal. Maybe next week will be better for The Maharajah.

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens (Winners)

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens attacked SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon at Survivor Series and were one of the reasons Team SmackDown lost the 5-on-5 Elimination match. Tonight on SmackDown, SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon was just about to fire Owens and Zayn when SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan came down to the ring.

Daniel Bryan announced that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will face New Day in a Lumberjack match in the main event of SmackDown. Owens and Zayn spent the rest of the show trying to find members of the SmackDown roster that didn’t hate them. As it turned out, Aiden English and Rusev wound up defending them during the Lumberjack match.

Sami Zayn and Owens were able to steal a victory over the New Day tonight via a roll-up. Owens was able to escape through the crowd after the match, but Sami Zayn got caught by Xavier Woods. The New Day then beat the hell out of Zayn and connected with the Midnight Hour.

Owens was shown backstage with SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan at the conclusion of this week’s episode of SmackDown. Owens begged Daniel Bryan not to fire them. Shane McMahon was under the impression that Daniel Bryan was going to fire Owens and Zayn at the conclusion of the Lumberjack match. Daniel Bryan told Owens that he was never going to fire them. Bryan announced that Owens will face Randy Orton next week on SmackDown. Owens was pissed at first but then came to his senses and thanked Daniel Bryan. Owens and Zayn not only escaped with a victory tonight, they are still employed on SmackDown thanks to Daniel Bryan.

Shane McMahon (Loser)

Shane McMahon wanted to fire Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for betraying Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. He thought that Daniel Bryan suggested the Lumberjack match in order to give the SmackDown roster one last crack at beating down Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Shane McMahon was so confident that Daniel Bryan was going to fire Owens and Zayn, he told Bryan that he was leaving the arena to enjoy the show from his hotel.

Well, Shane was in for a rude awakening at the end of SmackDown as Daniel Bryan informed Kevin Owens that he never intended to fire the two Superstars. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan are not on the same page right now. Shane neglected to inform Bryan of the RAW invasion before Survivor Series. Bryan stated that he wanted to have a conversation with Shane following Survivor Series about “cohesion”. That conversation hasn’t taken place yet, but Shane will definitely have to address Bryan next week.
